"A good traveler has no fixed plans, and is not intent on arriving" - Lao Tzu

After spending six weeks in Costa Rica during the summer in 1999 and having the best time of my life, I am finding hard to believe that, three years later, I have not done any major traveling since then.
I'm making up for it though. This year I headed out with Anne and Adam and a group of 9 - 12 people in a large cargo truck in an attempt to explore the Middle East and Central Asia from Istanbul, Turkey to Kathmandu, Nepal and many of the countries in between. We had a speculative itenerary which allows for about 22 weeks and covers numerous spots and regions but, as Lao Tzu observed in all his wisdom, and as stated in the quote above, our plans are not set in stone. I believe most of all in being a "good traveler".
