Entering Pakistan - Taftan onward (November 13th)

We crossed over the Pakistani border into Taftan or, more precisely, we crossed the border and never made it further, stopping to camp with the border officials themselves. Adam talked to the border guards after we were let in shortly before dark. He obtained permission for us to camp at the border crossing where they lived in a small building. That night we hung out with the guards drinking whiskey and having a good time - the first time we were able to consume alchoholic beverages in three weeks. Some time during the conversations we had with the officials one of them apparently wanted a ride to Quetta the next day. He managed to get a ride halfway to Quetta where he flaged us down and rode with us the rest of the way. Shortly after we left the border we stopped to refuel and, as the picture shows, the fuel station was a bit primative. - more pics
